The villa

Set right by the water’s edge along the Dalmatian coast, Villa Stara offers front-row views of the Adriatic and generous space for up to 14 guests across seven bedrooms. Located near the village of Bajnice, just under an hour south of Split, this is a superb choice for groups seeking a relaxed seaside stay with easy access to the region’s highlights.

Inside, the ground floor is designed for sociable living. A semi open-plan lounge features bold yellow sofas arranged around a wall-mounted TV, while the long wooden dining table brings everyone together for shared meals. The separate kitchen is bright and fully equipped, with direct access to the pool terrace for effortless indoor-outdoor living. A snug TV room provides a quiet retreat, while the garage games room - complete with pool table, table tennis and darts - keeps all ages entertained. There’s even a small home gym for those who like to stay active.

Seven air-conditioned bedrooms each benefit from their own en-suite bathroom, and most open onto balconies overlooking the sea.

Outside, the private swimming pool and spacious sun terrace sit just metres from the shoreline, with a lawn, barbecue and shaded dining area completing the setting for long, leisurely evenings by the coast.

Villa Stara is located in Bajnice, a small coastal settlement positioned between Split and Omiš along Croatia’s central Dalmatian shoreline. This stretch of coast is known for its clear waters, pebble beaches and relaxed, residential atmosphere, offering a peaceful base within easy reach of vibrant towns and cultural landmarks.

Split lies to the northwest, home to the UNESCO-listed Diocletian’s Palace, a lively seafront promenade and an excellent selection of restaurants and boat trips to the nearby islands of Brač, Hvar and Šolta. In the opposite direction, Omiš offers a different landscape entirely, with the dramatic Cetina River canyon, a sandy beach and opportunities for rafting and zip-lining.

For day-to-day essentials, there are local bakeries, cafés and small supermarkets within a short drive, while Split Airport can be reached in under an hour, making travel straightforward for international guests.
