The charming village of San Carlos is around a 10 - minute drive from Villa Solana and is one of Ibiza’s best - known centres of alternative culture. Popular with the island’s hippie community since the 1960s and 70s, the village still retains a relaxed, traditional atmosphere, with whitewashed houses, local restaurants and a strong sense of community. One of its best - known landmarks is Bar Anita, a long - established meeting place where locals gather for coffee, drinks and traditional Spanish food throughout the day. San Carlos is also home to Las Dalias, one of Ibiza’s most famous hippy markets. Visitors can browse stalls selling handmade jewellery, clothing, artwork and decorative pieces, while the market’s lively atmosphere is often enhanced by music and evening events during the summer months. It is an excellent place to experience a more bohemian side of the island and pick up something unique to take home. For those looking to explore further, Santa Eulalia is within easy driving distance and offers a wider choice of shops, restaurants and coastal attractions. Golf enthusiasts can also visit Golf Ibiza, approximately 20 minutes away, where two courses surrounded by Mediterranean scenery cater to both experienced players and those looking for a more relaxed round.
