Each room has its own personality, yet the home is tied together with its elegant style. A crystal chandelier hangs in the dining room, and the living room is furnished with comfortable sofas and decorated with old paintings. The farmhouse - style kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook a lovely meal, and the additional dining area is ideal for a casual breakfast. Upstairs, the cosy double bedrooms offer sweeping views of Lake Garda. Thanks to this villa’s prime location, a short walk will take you into the charming centre of Desenzano, filled with restaurants, bars, and historical buildings. This pretty town sits along Lake Garda, boasting a pristine shoreline with a pebbled beach lined with cafés. Boat rides that leave from its quaint harbour show you the most beautiful sights that the lake provides. Drive around 25 minutes to reach Manerba del Garda, a town with wildlife and scenery. Visit Rocca di Manerba del Garda, a nature reserve with olive groves, vineyards, woodlands, and its own museum. The lakeside town also features some unspoiled beaches, including Fido and Porto Torchio, where you can go paddle boarding.  In 40 minutes by car, you can reach Verona, a romantic city which Shakespeare used as a setting for ‘Romeo and Juliet’. Take your picture at Juliet’s balcony, explore the bars, and have a bite at one of the restaurants. If you love wine, head to the centre of Garda and discover the wineries and vineyards dotted around.

Villa Speciale sits in a residential street in Desenzano, a lovely town on the edge of Lake Garda. The town centre is within walking distance, where you’ll find an array of restaurants selling local Italian cuisine. Stroll along the shoreline, admiring the stunning views Lake Garda provides. The pebbled beach is the perfect place for a photo op, and the harbour features boat rides that give you a tour of the lake. From Desenzano, you can catch a bus to Manerba del Garda, a charming town on the southwest side of Lake Garda. If you prefer to drive, it will take you under 25 minutes from the villa. Here you’ll find an unspoiled nature reserve called Rocca di Manerba del Garda, a park that stretches over meadows, forests, vineyards, and olive groves. Hike through the blissful landscape and stop off at the Valtenesi Archaeological Museum. Explore the picturesque lakeside beaches such as Porto Torchino and Fido, where you can try out some paddle boarding on the lake. Another great lakeside town to visit is Salò (25 minutes’ drive away), home to the longest promenade on Lake Garda. Here you’ll find some scenic walking routes, which take you along the shore and through vibrant parks. Make sure you check out the fascinating historical buildings dotted about, such as Chiesa della Visitazione di Salo, an intricate church with outstanding architecture, and Chiesetta di San Bartolomeo, a small church that sits atop a hill. In just 40 minutes, you can drive to beautiful Verona. This romantic city is known for being the setting of Shakespeare’s famous ‘Romeo and Juliet’. You can even visit Juliet’s balcony and take a picture up there. The old town is also home to the Verona Arena, a grand Roman amphitheatre that still holds operas.  Drive around 40 minutes to reach the centre of Garda, the main city of the lake. You’ll be spoilt for choice with the wide range of restaurants available, where you can taste some local dishes. Explore the beaches along the lakefront, where you can relax and soak up the sun or go for a dip in the water. Another gorgeous lakeside area you can reach in 35 minutes is Bardolino, home to a winery where you can buy wine made in the vineyards surrounding it.
