Set in the peaceful hillside of Poseidonia, on the south-western tip of Syros, Villa Poseidonia enjoys the best of both seclusion and convenience. The surrounding area is known for its grand 19th-century mansions and elegant atmosphere, once a favoured summer retreat for wealthy Athenians. Today, it’s a quiet, refined corner of the island with beaches, bakeries, and family-run restaurants all just a five-minute drive from the villa.

Agathopes Beach, with its golden sand and clear, shallow water, is a favourite for swimmers and sunseekers alike, while nearby water sports centres offer sailing, kayaking and windsurfing for the more adventurous. Local shops and a well-stocked supermarket are easily accessible, while the island’s capital, Ermoupolis, just fifteen minutes away, offers a vibrant mix of architecture, history and nightlife. Known as the cultural heart of the Cyclades, Ermoupolis brims with theatres, galleries, pastel mansions and an active marina.

Getting to Syros is straightforward and well worth the journey, with several convenient options available. From Athens, regular ferries depart from Piraeus and take around two hours, making it an easy and scenic route into the Cyclades. Alternatively, you can fly from Athens to Syros Airport in just 35 - 40 minutes. For those already island hopping the stunning Cyclades, Syros is ideally positioned: it’s just 20 - 35 minutes by ferry from Tinos and between 40 minutes and 1 hour 20 minutes from Mykonos. With such accessible connections, reaching Syros is simple, whether you’re starting your trip in Athens or exploring the surrounding islands.
