The villa

Villa Montecchi is an authentically styled southern Italian idyll, a white-washed abode brimming with local flavour, Sorrentine charm and polished comfort.

Upon setting foot in this villa, take in the rustic style, paved terraces and lush lawns framed by vivid flowers spilling out of terracotta pots. The dappled trellis has a timeless and serene feel, making for stylish outdoor living, while the stone walls and wrought iron gated entrance lend a nod to tradition.

14 guests can be accommodated in 7 bedrooms, two of which are mezzanine bedrooms, each with their own individual style and each with accents of vibrant colour. Some bedrooms also have private terrace access. The interiors at Villa Montechi are a colourful blend of contemporary, sleek fittings and breezy sea-side tones of aquas and cobalts. The living spaces are in their own pavilion, well-proportioned and airy, they offer endless entertainment potential.

Dining al-fresco is a stylish affair - setting the scene for long and lazy lunches, the long table sits under the shaded pergola amongst the endless greenery. A brick-built wood-burning pizza oven and barbecue will hit the right note on balmy summer evenings. The many terraces treat guests with mesmerising views of the landscape that are hard to tear your eyes away from.

Villa Montecchi is set in the foothills of Massa Lubrense in the Naples municipality. An enchanting setting, rich with natural beauty, this spot offers a tranquil environment, close to some of the dazzling jewels of the Amalfi coast. Surrounded by olive groves, lemon trees and fragrant herbs and lavender, this rural idyll offers a little slice of Southern Italian perfection.

Sorrento is only a 15-minute drive away, overlooking the Bay of Naples, perched atop of the peninsular, it offers sweeping views across the waters, while at its heart the central Piazza Tasso is a vibrant cafe-lined square. Sorrento is steeped in history and meandering down a warren of narrow alleys will take visitors to the Chiesa di San Francesco: a 14th-century church in rich, opulent Italian style.

For a taste of the dolce vita, Positano is a picture-perfect day trip with stunning coastal roads - like stepping into a romantic black and white Fellini film!

Pompeii is a must-see when in the region; sealed in time, the statues are a sobering and unforgettable sight, while a myriad of cobbled streets alights the imagination.

For a taste of the well-heeled riviera life, Capri is a boat trip away, offering glamour and style, glittering beaches, smart restaurants and up-market boutiques. 

Naples itself is a bustling city brimming with colourful markets, narrow streets with outdoor washing lines and cobbled alleyways - allegedly it also offers Italy’s best pizza. Amalfi hugs the coast, awash with ochre tones, crimsons and a sunset palette. It has a pretty harbour and good local shopping opportunities. Be sure to try the ice-cream filled buns at a gelateria.
