Villa Makis is a relaxed and thoughtfully designed island home, created by local architect Makis Zanessi and perfectly positioned for discovering the many sides of Milos. Set just off the main Paraspóros - Pollonia road, the villa combines easy access to beaches and villages with a calm, welcoming atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease.

Arriving at the villa, clean white lines and soft Mediterranean tones set the scene. Step inside and you’ll find light-filled interiors designed for comfort rather than formality. The living room is spacious and inviting, furnished with generous sofas and simple décor that reflects the island’s natural palette. This is a space made for gathering, whether that’s lingering over morning coffee or unwinding together after a day exploring the coast.

The kitchen is fully equipped and practical, opening onto the dining area for easy shared meals. With daily breakfast prepared and served at the villa, mornings begin effortlessly, allowing you to ease into the day before heading out to the beach or simply settling poolside.

Accommodation is spread across four bedrooms, offering flexibility for families or groups of friends. The master bedroom features a double bed and an en-suite bathroom, while two further bedrooms, one double and one twin, share a bathroom on the same level. On the ground floor, a fourth bedroom enjoys its own private bathroom, ideal for guests seeking a little extra privacy.

Outdoors, Villa Makis is all about slowing down. The swimming pool sits at the heart of the terrace, surrounded by sun loungers and shaded seating areas that provide peaceful spots throughout the day. Whether you’re enjoying a quiet read, an afternoon swim or sunset drinks under the pergola, the outdoor spaces feel calm and unhurried.

Villa Makis enjoys a highly convenient location on the Paraspóros - Pollonia road, placing you within easy reach of Milos’ beaches, villages and highlights while still offering a sense of retreat. This central position makes it an excellent base for exploring the island without spending too much time on the road.

Milos is one of the best-connected islands in the Cyclades, with its own airport offering easy access from mainland Greece. It’s also well served by ferries from Athens, Santorini and Paros, making it an ideal stop for island-hopping adventures.

Paraspóros Beach is close by and known for its relaxed atmosphere, shallow waters and casual beach bars, ideal for long, easy-going days by the sea. A short drive brings you to some of Milos’ most celebrated beaches, including the striking white rock formations of Sarakiniko, just five minutes away. Here, smooth volcanic stone meets turquoise waters, creating one of the island’s most iconic swimming spots.

Adamantas, the island’s main port town, is also nearby and offers a lively mix of cafés, restaurants, bakeries and shops. It’s a great place to wander in the evening, enjoy fresh seafood by the harbour or organise boat trips around the island. Pollonia, on the north coast, provides a more traditional village feel, with charming tavernas and views across to neighbouring islands.

Milos itself is steeped in history and geological intrigue. Famous as the discovery site of the Venus de Milo, the island is known for its volcanic landscape, colourful fishing villages and hidden coves accessible by boat. Exploring the island’s network of coastal paths, sea caves and small inland villages offers a real sense of its character.
