In English, this monument is referred to as the Churches of Encarnacion and has been a prevalent landmark throughout the 18 th century and beyond. It was originally defined as a Mosque and was a key place of worship for many Moorish citizens. However, due to the events of the Christian reconquest, it was transformed into a church.
