Inside, the villa’s open-plan living and dining space feels bright, sociable and thoughtfully designed. Soft cream furnishings, natural wood and earthy ochre tones create a calming atmosphere, while large doors open directly onto the terrace overlooking the heated swimming pool. The open plan kitchen is particularly well equipped for leisurely family meals, whether preparing fresh market produce or lingering over raclette evenings with friends.

The main villa’s bedrooms are simple yet attractive, including a master bedroom with a dressing area and modern bathroom, a second double bedroom and two first-floor twins sharing a gorgeous shower room. Meanwhile, a new annexe expands the villa, introducing additional living and sleeping spaces alongside a dedicated games area with Nintendo Switch, darts, ping pong and table football. Across the house and annexe, Villa La Chabossiere sleeps up to 15 guests.

Outside, long afternoons unfold beside the heated swimming pool before evenings spent dining beneath the open sky at the generous al fresco table. In another corner of the garden, the pétanque pitch invites friendly competition, while the sauna and jacuzzi offer year round relaxation after days exploring the coast.

Villa La Chabossiere enjoys a wonderful location close to Brem-sur-Mer, a beloved little town known for its twice-weekly market, Michelin starred restaurant and access to wild sandy beaches. Coastal cycling trails weave through dunes, woodland and salt marshes, while surfers, hikers and beach lovers are equally well placed to enjoy the region’s natural beauty. Les Sables d’Olonne is also within easy reach for elegant promenades, marina dining and cultural excursions by the sea.

Perched in a residential setting close to Brem-sur-Mer, Villa La Chabossiere is just a short drive from the Vendée coastline. This charming corner of western France is known for its wild beaches, pine forests and unspoilt coastal scenery, offering guests a perfect balance of relaxation and outdoor adventure.

The villa is well located, just off the road leading to the heart of Brem-sur-Mer (2km) where local shops, restaurants and a weekly market (twice-weekly in season) can be reached in a short drive (or around ten minutes by bike). It’s a beloved area celebrated for its sandy beaches, scenic walking trails and laid-back atmosphere. Wine-lovers will be keen to visit Brem-sur-Mer’s ancient vineyards whilst gastronomes should try and book a table at the Michelin started Les Genêts.

Just along the coast, Brétignolles-sur-Mer (5.5km) is another delightful seaside town, particularly popular for its lively Thursday and Sunday markets and glorious beach. Visitors can hire bicycles and follow picturesque coastal paths through dunes, marshes and woodland, while concierge can also help arrange horse riding, boat excursions and other outdoor pursuits.

Indeed, the Vendée coastline is a paradise for lovers of the outdoors, with surfing, kayaking, hiking and cycling routes all close by. Nature enthusiasts will especially appreciate the Marais salants de l’Île d’Olonne, where traditional salt marshes create a striking landscape rich in birdlife and local heritage - the village of La Gachère (2km) is a good place to start. Fishing is also popular in this area (do check if you need a permit first). 

Furthermore, the region’s exceptional sunshine, among the highest on France’s Atlantic coast, makes it an appealing destination from spring through autumn, while the quieter off-season months are ideal for restorative escapes by the sea (do note the villa’s jacuzzi and sauna are available year round).

For a classic seaside day out, Les Sables-d’Olonne (13km) offers elegant promenades, long sandy beaches and a lively cultural atmosphere. Wander through its bustling marina, discover museums and galleries or simply enjoy lunch overlooking the ocean.

Further afield, the world-famous Puy du Fou theme park can be reached in an hour, while seasonal festivals, evening markets and coastal events ensure there is always something to experience along this captivating stretch of the Vendée coast.
