Carvoeiro, once a traditional fishing village, is now one of the Algarve’s most popular seaside destinations, known for its golden sandy beach, dramatic cliffs and lively waterfront lined with cafés and restaurants. Nearby, the distinctive rock formations and sea caves of Algar Seco provide spectacular coastal walks and viewpoints.

Just a short drive away, Ferragudo offers a more traditional atmosphere, with whitewashed houses, a charming village square and a collection of attractive beaches, including Praia Grande and Praia dos Caneiros. The village remains closely connected to its fishing heritage and is a wonderful spot for long lunches overlooking the water.
