The villa

Villa Cherry is a contemporary six - bedroom villa surrounded by the pine forests of Comporta, with plenty of privacy and space for up to twelve guests. The house covers approximately 400m², while the 4,000m² plot gives families and groups ample room to enjoy long days outdoors.

High ceilings and large windows bring plenty of daylight into the interiors, complemented by natural materials and a simple, modern finish. The generous living spaces and fully equipped kitchen lead directly to the terraces, making outdoor meals and afternoons by the pool an easy part of the day. There are six bedrooms in total, including two with queen - size beds and four twin rooms, a particularly practical arrangement for larger families and groups of friends.

The long private swimming pool is bordered by wooden decking, with pine trees and native planting surrounding the garden. Shaded terraces offer welcome cover during the warmer hours, as well as space for outdoor dining and barbecues.

Villa Cherry also makes a good base for discovering the Comporta area, with sandy beaches approximately 15km away and local shops, restaurants and amenities around 8km from the villa.

Villa Cherry lies in the countryside around Carvalhal, an excellent base for exploring the Comporta coastline and the wider Alentejo region. Pine forests, rice fields and long Atlantic beaches shape the surrounding landscape, while the villages dotted along the coast offer restaurants, independent shops and a relaxed pace of life.

Beach days are an obvious part of a stay here. Praia do Carvalhal and neighbouring Praia do Pego are two of the area’s best - known stretches of sand, backed by dunes and with places to stop for lunch nearby. Further north, Comporta has more restaurants and shops, as well as access to Praia da Comporta.

There is plenty to do away from the beach too. Cycling through the rice fields is a good way to see the local landscape, while the Sado Estuary and Tróia Peninsula offer opportunities for boat trips and dolphin watching. Local menus make the most of fresh fish, seafood and the rice grown throughout the region.
