The villa

Solace Adriatica is a contemporary four - bedroom villa in Vodnjan, Istria, where days can move easily between the swimming pool, sauna and views across the Adriatic towards the Brijuni Islands. Set within 2,000m² of private grounds and sleeping up to eight guests, it’s a great choice for families or groups looking for plenty of space alongside some standout extras.

Inside, 400m² of living space pairs modern architecture with large windows that draw in natural light and make the most of the coastal outlook. Multiple living and dining areas give everyone room to spread out, while the fully equipped kitchen makes group meals straightforward. Each of the four king - size bedrooms has its own en - suite bathroom, air conditioning and television.

Outside, the generous 60m² private pool takes centre stage, accompanied by sun loungers, landscaped gardens, a barbecue and space for dining together in the open air. There’s even mini golf for a little friendly competition and fruit growing in the garden.

For something different, private boat trips can be arranged on request, while the villa is just 5km from the beach. Back at base, finish the day in the sauna or settle onto the terrace as the sun drops over the Adriatic.

Solace Adriatica puts guests in a great position for exploring southern Istria, with the historic town of Vodnjan close by. Known for its art and cultural heritage, Vodnjan’s old streets reveal Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architecture, colourful murals and the distinctive Church of St Blaise. The surrounding countryside is also well known for its olive - growing traditions.

For days beside the Adriatic, head towards the coast and Fažana, a former fishing town with beaches, waterfront restaurants and a seaside promenade. It’s also the departure point for boats to Brijuni National Park, an archipelago of 14 islands where archaeological remains, Mediterranean landscapes and wildlife make for an easy day trip.

Further south, Pula adds Roman history to the mix, led by its remarkably preserved amphitheatre alongside the Temple of Augustus and Arch of the Sergii. With beaches, historic towns and Istrian food all within reach, there’s plenty of scope for days away from the villa.
