The master suite occupies the entire second floor, offering a private haven with its own living area and a gorgeous bathroom complete with a freestanding tub and walk - in Italian shower - it feels more like a boutique hotel retreat.

A stunning kitchen and dining room set the stage for long meals, while the stylish living area opens seamlessly to the garden through ceiling - height glass doors. Outside, the Languedoc lifestyle unfolds around a private, heated 12 - metre pool framed by cypresses and a poolside terrace. With traditional village life on your doorstep, just a short stroll brings you to a bustling café bar, bakery and butchers. Also within walking distance, Le Canal du Midi invites cycling or waterside lunches, while sandy stretches of the Mediterranean coast lie only 40 minutes away by car. Spend the day exploring Capestang’s restaurants and markets, wander through Narbonne’s medieval quarter, or plan a day trip to the romantic cityscape of Carcassonne.

In the village of Argeliers, Maison Tigre places you in the midst of authentic southern French village life and just a short stroll from the Canal du Midi. The village is located between Béziers (28km) and Carcassonne (50km), both with international airports.

Close to rolling vineyards and within easy reach of both the Mediterranean coast and historic inland towns, this charming village offers the perfect balance of rural beauty and cultural richness. With its characterful streets, stone houses and warm community feel, Argeliers is a quintessential Languedoc village where daily life unfolds at a gentle pace. The house is set on a road near the edge of the village. From your doorstep, a short walk brings you to the café - bar, restaurant, two bakeries, a butcher, grocery store and the local tennis courts.

On the edge of the village lies the Canal du Midi, a UNESCO - listed waterway winding through shaded plane trees and tranquil countryside. Whether walking, cycling or dining beside its slow - moving waters, it’s a wonderful and serene experience.

Also by the Canal du Midi, nearby Capestang (10km) offers a lovely canal - side setting with lively restaurants, shops and useful supermarket. The traditional market takes place on a Wednesday and Sunday morning. In the other direction, the Tuesday morning market in Olonzac (16km) is also not to be missed.

For day trips, you’re spoilt for choice. Narbonne (21km) boasts a magnificent Gothic cathedral, fascinating Roman ruins and a picturesque old quarter lined with café terraces. Further afield, Carcassonne (50km) enchants with its fairytale medieval citadel - its soaring towers and summer festivals making it one of the most atmospheric day trips in the region.

Back at home, wine lovers will find themselves at the centre of one of France’s most dynamic winemaking regions, with countless vineyards and tasting rooms within a short drive. For something truly memorable, a visit to the hilltop village of Minerve (20km), perched above dramatic gorges, promises stunning views and a taste of the region’s Cathar past. There are several wine bars and tasting opportunities in around Minerve, home to the famous Minervois wine appellation.

When the call of the sea beckons, the golden sands of Narbonne - Plage and Gruissan are less than 40 minutes away. These laid - back seaside towns offer family - friendly beaches, water parks, markets and classic Mediterranean charm.
