A streamlined kitchen and dining area flows into a double sofa lounge, where a suspended fireplace brings warmth to cooler evenings. Carefully chosen wallpapers and mid - century furnishings give the interiors personality, while doors lead directly outside. 

Four bedrooms accommodate up to eight guests, including a master bedroom with a king size bed, dressing area and private terrace overlooking the olive grove. Its bathroom features a freestanding bath and double basin. Three further bedrooms and two shower rooms provide comfortable space for the rest of the party.

Outside, days unfold between olive trees and open skies. The 10m saltwater swimming pool can be heated on request for a supplement, while six loungers line the sunny pool deck. A covered dining terrace and electric plancha make long lunches and evening meals particularly appealing, with views reaching across the countryside towards Arles.

The location places some of Provence’s most celebrated landscapes within easy reach. Fontvieille is 3.6km away, while Maussane les Alpilles and hilltop Les Baux de Provence are within 9km. Arles is a little further or head to Saint Rémy de Provence, offering rich possibilities for days devoted to markets, art, Roman heritage and leisurely lunches. Hiking and cycling trails through the Alpilles Natural Regional Park begin just moments from the property, while longer outings can lead to the Camargue, Nîmes or Avignon.

The village is closely associated with the French writer Alphonse Daudet, who found inspiration in this landscape, and its surroundings are characterised by olive groves, old stone buildings and the distinctive scenery of Les Alpilles.

Venture further into Les Alpilles to discover two of its most appealing villages. Maussane - les - Alpilles (8.5km) lies amid one of France’s important olive - growing areas, with around 2,000 hectares of olive trees and a strong tradition of producing Vallée des Baux - de - Provence AOP olive oil. Nearby, the spectacular hilltop village of Les Baux - de - Provence (9km) rises dramatically above the landscape. Explore the remains of its medieval château and wander through historic lanes before visiting the extraordinary Carrières des Lumières, where monumental limestone quarries provide the backdrop for immersive art exhibitions.

The remarkable city of Arles (15km) offers another fascinating day out, while Saint - Rémy - de - Provence (16km) is perfectly placed for soaking up the atmosphere of Les Alpilles. Together, these historic Provençal destinations make it easy to combine leisurely lunches and café stops with days devoted to art, architecture and heritage.
