In the beautiful countryside near the tiny village of Bertric - Burée, Le Malardier offers an idyllic base for exploring the Dordogne and Charente regions of southwest France.

Surrounded by gently rolling farmland and sunflower fields, the property is just 10km from the bustling market town of Ribérac, yet feels a world apart in its rural setting. Nearby Verteillac (5km) provides your daily essentials - a traditional bakery, butcher, grocery store and a handful of cafés and restaurants where you can unwind after a day’s adventure. Even closer, there is a bakery just 2km away.

Ribérac is a delight to explore, particularly on Friday mornings when the town bursts into life for its renowned market - one of the largest in the area. From fresh produce and local cheeses to artisan crafts and clothing, it’s a lively affair not to be missed. Tennis enthusiasts will find public courts here too, open from early till late with excellent value weekly passes.
