Just over 20 minutes from the coast, La Cigalière is also perfectly placed for beach days at Vias Plage, adventures in Cap d’Agde or regional wine - tastings surrounded by vineyards.

The house is located between Béziers, one of the oldest cities in France, and Pézenas, a 'hidden gem' for antique collectors. The area is known for its huge sandy beaches and great summer beach scene within a 20 - minute drive. 

La Cigalière is a 5 minute walk from a very good bakery and butchers, and only 15 minutes on foot from a fantastic Super U. Servian is vibrant with a great community and events. It has good restaurants and takeaway food/pop - up trucks as well as a small independent grocer (great for rotisserie chickens at the weekend).

Languedoc - Rousillon is one of France's most successful wine growing regions, and the house is close to many local growers and producers who have a real passion for making delicious and outstanding wines. For those seeking outdoor adventures, the national park offers lake swimming, scenic walking and biking trails and a golf course. 

The historic town of Pézenas (14km) enchants with its cobbled streets and some of the finest restaurants in the region. Its renowned Saturday market - arguably the best in Languedoc - draws locals and visitors with an irresistible array of produce, crafts and character.

Equally close in the other direction, Béziers boasts stunning views from its hilltop cathedral, a vibrant Friday flower market and glorious walks and cycle rides along the Canal du Midi, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

A half - hour drive brings you to the Mediterranean coast, where golden beaches at Vias Plage, Cap d’Agde, and Marseillan Plage promise sun - drenched days and family fun. Alternatively, explore the Étang de Thau, a tranquil lagoon famed for its oysters, or wander the quays of Marseillan and Mèze, where seafood restaurants overlook bobbing boats and glittering waters.
