The villa

Once a traditional Galician farmhouse, Casa El Bravo has been thoughtfully transformed into a six - bedroom villa ideal for families or friends travelling together. Perched in a peaceful rural setting, it offers sweeping views of the countryside, mountains and distant villages - especially magical at night when the lights shimmer across the landscape and moonlight reflects on the sea.

The villa’s saltwater pool enjoys a striking backdrop, with a lush lawn stretching towards it - perfect for sunbathing or relaxing. Stone walls and heritage features evoke its past, while interiors blend rustic charm with tasteful design, from vintage artworks to characterful wooden and iron bedframes. All six ensuite bedrooms are upstairs, two with separate access and direct entry to a sun terrace complete with seating, a water fountain, and a serene fish pond.

Indoors, guests will find a cosy lounge with a fireplace, a fully equipped modern kitchen with granite worktops, and a traditional outdoor kitchen and barbecue area. Multiple alfresco dining and lounging spaces are spread across the grounds, including the romantic 'Lovers’ Garden Hideaway', encircled by ancient stone walls.

It has a lovely mix of beaches, harbour views and winding old - town lanes and is the perfect gateway to the stunning Cíes Islands, whose pristine shores make an unforgettable day trip.

Set in the peaceful village of Vilaboa, Casa El Bravo enjoys a rural backdrop with sweeping coastal views and dramatic mountain scenery. Just one kilometre from shops and restaurants and two kilometres from the nearest town, the villa is also a short drive from both Pontevedra and Vigo, offering easy access to Galicia’s cultural highlights.

The nearest beach, Areeiro, features dark golden sand and gentle waves, making it ideal for a relaxing stroll. The coastal Salinas de Ulio walkway is close by, while Vigo’s urban beaches offer white sands and excellent conditions for surfing. For a more secluded escape, guests can take a ferry to the Cíes Islands, part of Galicia National Park. These protected islands are home to Rodas Beach, often named among the world’s best, along with scenic hiking trails and overnight camping options. As visitor numbers are limited each day, advance booking is recommended.

Nearby Pontevedra offers a beautifully preserved Old Town, with historic landmarks such as the scallop - shaped Capela da Virxe Peregrina and the 16th - century Basilica Maria. Wander through the charming squares and riverside promenades, or visit during summer to experience the city’s vibrant festival calendar. In Vigo, a lively and youthful city, visitors can sample fresh oysters on Rua de las Ostras and enjoy panoramic views from the 17th - century Castro Fortress.

Vigo is a must visit, and is only half an hour away. Its old town, the Casco Vello, is a maze of cobbled lanes, intimate squares and handsome stone buildings that reveal the city’s maritime roots.
