The villa

The spacious, traditional, sprawling Casa Alexander is situated in a valley just minutes from Carvajal Beach, between Benalmadena and Fuengirola. With 7 huge bedrooms, the villa sleeps 14 guests. The villa is set in private grounds with mature planting. It is a peaceful, private setting yet just short 15 - minute walk from the beach, bars and restaurants and a steep walk up hill back to the villa. It is a 10 - minute drive to both Benalmadena and Fuengirola where you will find masses of entertainment as well as fantastic beaches. 

Casa Alexander is newly decorated in a traditional yet unique style with bright, warm colours. The open plan living and dining room has a large fireplace and overlooks the swimming pool and terrace. The kitchen is spacious, well equipped with large appliances and definitely unique. The games room and bar will be popular for chilling out. There is an enjoyable snooker table, pool table as well as table football and darts. There are 2 sweeping staircases from the spacious entrance hall leading to the 7 bedrooms. There are 2 twin bedrooms and 5 with king - size beds, some of which are four - posters.

Outside is a large, inviting swimming pool, surrounded with sun loungers, a hammock and several alfresco dining areas. You'll also find a hot tub and barrel sauna for long afternoons spent relaxing. There is a brick - built charcoal barbecue and an outdoor bar area, perfect for evening aperitivos and alfresco meals.

The beach of Carvajal is approximately a 15 - minute walk from the villa. Trains from the station 15 minutes away will take you to the airport so you do not actually require a car at this villa, though you may prefer to have one to easily explore the rest of the Costa del Sol region!

Benalmadena is known for its beaches, especially Playa de la Carihuela, and the Tivoli World Theme Park as well as the other entertainment on offer. There are many attractions at the theme park including roller coasters, the ‘Twister’, Jurassic adventure mysterious ship, the free - fall tower, the giant Ferris wheel, carousels and other child - friendly rides. There is a theatre with live performances, and there are many themed restaurants.

The Sea Life Centre at the marina is very popular. Selwo Marina is a small marine park with 4 areas, Antillas, Las Hondonadas, Amazonia and Isla de Hielo. You will meet lions, giraffes, hippos, zebras, leopards, meerkats, lynx, elephants and pandas. There are also adventure activities including the zip wire, hanging bridges, archery and the Serengeti Safari, a 4x4 truck ride around the Great Lakes Reserve. There are dolphin shows in the big pool and an icy penguinarium.

Fuengirola is a vibrant metropolis with tapas bars, many cafes and restaurants, chic boutiques, wonderful beaches and amusement parks. The main square of Fuengirola, the Plaza de la Constitucion, has been redesigned but still retains its unique enchantment. There are many quaint bars, fiestas and little street markets. The Parroquia de Nuestra Senora del Rosaria is the beautiful church in the centre of the Plaza.

The Fuengirola Tuesday market is buzzy and vibrant with everything from leather goods, clothes, crafts to local produce. You should certainly haggle! The Miramar Shopping Centre is one of the Costa del Sol’s largest retail areas. The promenade is great for a stroll where you will pass the beach, Sauld park, bungey trampolines, a merry go round and much more.
