The villa

Step into Alporchinhos Vermelho, your dreamy home away from home on the Algarve. Surrounded by lush green hedges and set on a quiet side street in a residential area, this traditional Portuguese villa is just the place to spend some time away from the hustle and bustle of day - to - day life.

Inside the villa, rustic Portuguese decor meets you in each room. A cosy tiled living room features a large comfortable sofa and a family TV for relaxing and spending time together. Within the villa, you also have a games room with a full - sized pool table which is yours to use at your leisure.

You have use of a fully - equipped kitchen during your stay, with all the mod cons needed to create delicious home - cooked meals for you and your guests. Adjacent to the kitchen is an indoor dining room decorated in traditional Mediterranean style with a large dining table and solid wood accents. If the dining room feels too formal, you can dine in the kitchen itself or take meals outside on the terrace, where additional seating can be found as well as a traditional barbecue.

Spread across two levels, you’ll have your choice of four simply decorated comfortable bedrooms. On the ground floor is a twin bedroom with a private en - suite bathroom and a second twin bedroom with a separate bathroom adjacent. Two more bedrooms are located upstairs, one with a double bed and one with two twin beds, and both have their own private en - suite bathrooms.

Outside, you have a lovely space to rest, dine and relax. On the terrace is a decent - sized private swimming pool complete which is surrounded by comfortable sun loungers and parasols. Just behind the swimming pool and sun terrace are the barbecue and outdoor dining area, perfect for poolside lunches.

The garden itself is large and grassy, with a full - sized ping pong table located on the lawn, giving kids plenty of space to run and play during their stay.

Getting to Alporchinhos Vermelho is a cinch, however, you choose to do so. If you’re staying at the villa as part of a wider trip around Portugal, you can easily access Alporchinhos Vermelho by road as the area is well - served on both a local and national level. If you’re staying at the villa alone for your holiday, you’ll likely arrive in Portugal via Faro Airport, which is around 40 minutes away by car.

Set on the outskirts of sleepy Porches, Alporchinhos Vermelho is a great choice for a cosy escape in the sun. While setting back from town, getting in and out is pretty easy with Armação de Pêra, located just five minutes away by car.

If you’re looking for beaches, you’ll be spoiled for choice. All within a five minute drive of the villa are Praia Nova, Praia da Cova Redonda, Praia dos Tremocos and two Blue Flag beaches in Praia de Nossa Senhora da Rocha and Praia de Armação de Pêra.

While the town and the beaches are all within walking distance of Alporchinhos Vermelho, we do recommend using a car to get out and about as the area is relatively steep and may not be suitable for some guests.

You’re also ideally placed for day trips and excursions as you can get around the area fairly easily, with several attractions and the town of Albufeira less than 30 minutes away by car.
